Acer is going to unveil at least four new smartphones at IFA in Berlin next month, but we now can shed some light on those. Previously we were tipped about those being Windows-powered smartphones, but apparently that’s not the case.
Acer Liquid Z630 already showed its face via the GFX’s database, but we can now reveal everything about the smartphone. It’s an Android Lollipop-powered handset with big 5.5″ 720p IPS display and MediaTek MT6735 chipset. The SoC offers a quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A53 processor, a Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB RAM.
The rest of the Liquid Z630 specs include LTE connectivity, dual-SIM telephony, 16GB storage, an 8MP rear and an 8MP front snapper, and a 4,000 mAh battery. The expected retail price is €200.
Acer Liquid Z530, comes with a 5″ 720p IPS screen and the same MediaTek MT6735 chip with 2GB RAM. LTE connectivity is also available for this one and the expected retail price is around €140.
Previously we saw an Acer S59 leak, which has the same display and SoC as the Z530, but oddly two high-end cameras with 4K video recording. Maybe the GFX was wrong about the cameras, as we doubt the MT6735 can handle more than 1080p video capturing and the S59 is in fact the upcoming Z530.
The two Liquid smartphones, among with at least two others, will premiere in Berlin next month. We’ll be there to follow up on those, so stay tuned.
