Following developer Konami’s announcement that the PC version of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Painwill now launch on the same day as the console versions, it has revealed the system requirements of the game.On the game’s Steam forums, community manager Robert Peeler published the minimum and recommended specifications for MGS V. At minimum, you’ll need an i5 processor clocked at 3.4 GHz, a GTX 650 graphics card (or equivalent AMD GPU), and 4 GB of RAM. Konami recommends, however, that you have 3.6 GHz i7 processor and a GTX 760 GPU. It will also require at least 28 GB of hard drive space.

  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4460 (3.40 GHz) or better; Quad-core or better
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 (2GB) or better (DirectX 11 card Required)
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 28 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

Recommended:

  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 (3.60GHz) or better; Quad-core or better
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (DirectX 11 graphic card required)

  • Hard Drive: 28 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card (Surround Sound 5.1)

Today, Konami also announced that PC owners will be getting a variety of bonuses. If you preorder the game on Steam, you will receive Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes for free. All owners of the game on Steam will also receive a documentary, behind-the-scenes footage, and some extra in-game items.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain launches on September 1 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3. It will have a competitive online component called Metal Gear Online, but that mode won’t be available until October 6 on consoles and January 2016 on PC.
